Anna M. (Martellotta) Zervas' Obituary
Anna (Martellotta) Zervas, 79, of Syracuse, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024.
She was born in Rochester, NY to the late John and Annette (Calderala) Martellotta.
She graduated from Central Tech and was married to her late husband Nicholas for 55 years. Anna’s kind and generous spirit was a hallmark of her legacy, and she was loved by all who met her. She touched countless lives as a nurse for over 40 years, spending most of career working with Dr. Elizabeth Mroziewicz.
Nothing made her happier than being with her family and friends. She especially loved the time spent with her granddaughters who brought her so much joy. We will honor her memory by mirroring the light she was in our lives.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Zervas and her brothers, Dan, Tony and Phil Martellotta.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Nicole Zervas Adsitt and son-in-law, Michael; granddaughters, Hannah and Lily; sisters-in-law, Lucy and Marguerite Martellotta and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Anna’s life will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church, 325 Waring Rd., Syracuse, NY. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Anna’s name to, Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital, One Children's Circle, Syracuse, NY 13210.
