Anne K. (Galtieri) Carocci's Obituary
Anne K. (Galtieri) Carocci, 92, of Mattydale, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Dominic and Fortunata (Zucco) Galtieri and was a graduate of Central High School. Anne retired as a supervisor from Chappell’s. She was also a certified member of the Pastoral Ministry, Eucharistic Ministry, and Bereavement counseling at St. Margaret’s Church. Anne was a member of Legion of Mary, a Knight of Columbus Columbiette, and assistant Chaplin at Crouse Irving. She enjoyed spending time with her family and being at her camp on Lake Ontario. She also enjoyed playing cards with her great-grandchildren and staying in the Adirondacks in the “Queens Room.”
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Peter J. Carocci, Sr. as well as her grandson, Eric Belcore, three brothers: Joe, Fred and Louie; two sisters, Marie Boiselle and Nancy Vanderpool.
Anne is survived by her loving children, Angel Devlin-Brown, Peter J. (Sheree) Carocci, Jr., Antoinette Belcore, Virginia (Paul) Victory and Maria Carocci; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Pasquale Galtieri and James (Joan) Galtieri; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 11:00 am at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Anne’s life at noon in St. Daniel Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
