Anne M. (Dianora) DeSantis' Obituary
Anne M. (Dianora) DeSantis, 90, passed away at Upstate University Hospital on January 31, 2021 after a brief illness. Born in 1930, Anne was a life resident of Syracuse, N.Y. She had a 37-year career in the Syracuse City School District as a school secretary retiring in 2002. Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony M. DeSantis; second husband, Daniel Campi and grandson, Cpl. Zachary DeSantis.
Anne enjoyed a full and independent life living at home by herself until just a few weeks ago. In retirement she and her second husband were able to spend their time traveling and spending winters in Del Ray Beach, Florida. Noted for her meticulous dress she loved her family, especially her grandchildren who she enjoyed baking her Italian cookies for.
Anne is survived by her sons, Michael (Marybeth) of Trumbul, CT and Dean (Mary) of Marcellus; grandchildren, Michael (Brooke) DeSantis of Cincinnati, OH, Megan DeSantis (Sam Oliver) of Spartanburg, SC, and Amanda DeSantis of Marcellus; two sisters, Concetta Hollenbeck, San Diego, CA and Rosemary Chase, Palm Beach, FL, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral mass will take place on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Church in DeWitt followed by a private entombment at St Mary’s Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 concerns a celebration of her life will take place this summer for family and friends.
