Anne M. Fortino's Obituary
Anne M. (Carapella) Fortino, 88, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Syracuse and was a communicant of Our Lady of Pompei Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Fortino in 2010; her brother, Michael Carapella and sisters, Mary DeJohn and Virginia Olivieri. Anne is survived by her son, Frank E. (Dianne) Fortino of Cicero; granddaughter, Michelle Calveric of Cicero; two great-grandchildren, Joseph & Thea Calveric; a brother, Dominick Carapella of Liverpool; two sisters, Angeline (Leonard) Massaro of North Syracuse and Grace Swanka of Syracuse; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 AM Wednesday in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 11:30 AM in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Road, (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM. Contributions may be made to Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church.
