Anne Marie (Pesce) Costello's Obituary
Anne Marie (Pesce) Costello, 87, of East Syracuse, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Syracuse to the late Rose (Dadabo) and Fidele Pesce, Anne Marie graduated from North High School and was a homemaker. She loved gardening, Italian cooking, and most of all, spending time laughing and carrying on with family and friends.
Along with her parents, Anne Marie is predeceased by her husband, John W. Costello, Sr. in 2007; and her BFF Gelsomina “Jessie” Mingolelli in 2021.
Anne Marie is survived by her son, John W. (Theresa) Costello, Jr.; granddaughter, Maria Rose Costello; a sister, Cecelia Tooley; a brother, John Pesce; several nieces and nephews; and her grand-dog, Zack.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 8:00 am at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY 13212 followed by a funeral mass in celebration of Anne Marie’s life at 9:00 am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 401 North Main St., Minoa. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Family and friends may call on Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY 13212. The family requests that all those attending please wear a facial covering.
