Anne Marie (Discenza) Walter, 8/5/31 - 10/22/23. Anne Marie passed away peacefully in Florida. She lived most of her life in Fayetteville, NY, graduating from Eastwood High School and raising her family in the Syracuse area. As a second-generation Italian American, Anne Marie loved her family, friends, cooking, her house on Salt Springs Rd, her gardens, and traveling. Anne Marie was married to Bud Walter for 70 years; they were avid Syracuse University football & basketball fans, and they attended Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville, NY. Anne Marie lived her final years with Bud in their Vero Beach, Florida home overlooking the ocean.
She is predeceased by her husband, Bud Walter, her grandson, Daniel Walter and her parents, Charlie and Amelia Discenza.
Anne Marie is survived by her daughter, Sue (Walter) McNichol and son, Charles Walter; grandchildren, Stephanie (Korzyp) Gaffney, Amy (Korzyp) Ranger and Christopher Walter; 2 great grandsons, Damien and Jason; 1 great granddaughter, Zoey.
A Memorial Service will be held for Anne Marie along with her husband Bud Walter of 70 years at noon on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Anne Marie will then be laid to rest with her husband in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
Family and Friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 11am – 12pm.
