Annette K. (Keim) Orth's Obituary
Annette K. (Keim) Orth, 99, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2024 at The Friends of Dorothy House in Syracuse. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio, daughter of the late Carol Dale Keim and Agnes May Breen and graduated from Short High School in Liberty Indiana and attended Indiana University in Bloomington. Annette was primarily a wife, mother and homemaker, but she also worked as a riveter during W.W.II, a nurse's aide, in various factories, on a pear ranch in California and as a proofreader for Carlson Craft in Mankato, MN. She enjoyed Bird Watching and loved traveling in her RV from 1985 - 2015.
She is predeceased by her husband, Ralph Anthony Orth in 1987; her children, Mary Agnes Nelson-Wade, Christine Rosenstein, Jonathan Orth and Erin Marie Orth; her granddaughter, Shannon Orth and siblings, Joan (Keim) Witt and Thomas Keim.
Annette is survived by 8 children, Ralph Anthony Orth, Jr. (Nadine Lucas), Christopher Orth, Annette Milinda (Fred) Asplen, Monica Orth, William Casey Orth, Nickolas Orth (Michael De Salvo), Rosslyn Joan (Joseph) Staudenbauer and Paula Marie (Gregory) Cooney; 22 grandchildren, Annette (Nettie) Basile (Wade), Brendon Nelson-Wade, Marco Rosenstein, Quin Rosenstein, Julie Orth, Thomas Orth, Emily Orth, Joshua Orth, Zachery Orth, M. Renee Orth, Matthew Orth, Nick Orth, Camila Mecher, Xyara Asplen, Dylan Asplen, Sean Asplen, Ana-Brit Asplen, William Orth, Jackie Lee, Alison Staudenbauer, Adam Orth and Cylvia Orth, and 19 great grandchildren.
There will be a Catholic Funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Church in Mankato, MN on July 13, 2024 at 9:00 am. The interment of her cremated remains will be on Monday July 15th at 10am in Fort Snelling Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
