Annette M. (DeRosa) Maselli's Obituary
Annette M. (DeRosa) Maselli, age 85, of Syracuse, passed away on Friday at Iroquois Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Annette was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Dominick and Louise (Granato) DeRosa. She worked at Learbury’s as a seamstress for several years before having children and raising her family. She beamed with pride and was filled with joy when talking about her family and loved spending time with them and her cherished friends. She was a faithful woman, and lifelong member of St. Peter’s Church. Annette was a wonderful baker and an amazing cook! She will always be remembered for her fun-loving, caring, and kind heart, so sweet and generous to everyone she met, a beautiful person inside and out who will be sorely missed and never forgotten. She was predeceased by her seven siblings.
Annette is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, John N. Maselli of Syracuse; her son, John (Cindy) Maselli of East Syracuse; daughter, MaryAnn (Dan) Stark of Manlius; four grandchildren, Danielle (Blaine) Kelly, John (Melissa) Maselli, Julie Maselli, and Daniel Stark; great-grandchildren, Anthony John Maselli and Clodagh Marie Kelly; brother-in-law, John P. Testone; sisters-in-law, Veronica DeRosa, Rosemarie Close and Betty Norris.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Annette’s life at 9:00 a.m. in St. Daniel’s Church, 3004 Court Street, Syracuse, NY 13208. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
