Anthony "Tony" Basile's Obituary
Anthony “Tony” Basile, 92, of Syracuse, NY passed away on May 19, 2020 surrounded by the love of his family. Tony was born in Bari, Italy to the late John and Celestina Basile, and immigrated to the U.S. at the age of three. Tony worked at Carrier, and later went on to become self-employed and divide his time between Syracuse and Daytona Beach, FL. Tony was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and father-in-law who truly made a profound impact on everyone in his life.
Tony is predeceased by his wife Mary; son John; son-in-law, Scotty Donald; brothers, James, Joseph, Jack, Frank, Cosimo, and sister Grace.
Tony is survived by his daughter, Celeste Donald; grandchildren, Taylor Donald and Anthony Basile; daughter-in-law, Lynn Basile; brother-in-law, Frank Romano, sister-in-law, Marilyn Romano, and countless other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Private funeral services entrusted to THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tony’s honor can be made to The Loretto Foundation.
