Anthony "Tony" Bosco's Obituary
Anthony “Tony” Bosco, 90, of Syracuse passed away Friday July 30, 2021. Tony was a proud “North Sider” born to the late Sebastian “Sam” and Mary Bosco, originally from Bari, Italy. He is once again at peace with Audrey, his loving wife of 64 years.
From humble beginnings, Tony’s amazing work ethic earned him a wonderful life. He began with his military service during the Korean War, where he served the United States Air Force. Tony’s primary career was then spent at Richmark Carpet & Furniture where his warm, outgoing personality brought him many dear friends. Every excursion lasted an additional hour as he stopped to talk with acquaintances. With Audrey, he enjoyed annual trips to Las Vegas or Florida, and at home they enjoyed local casinos with neighbors and friends. He also made time for an annual fishing trip, always returning with a cooler full of walleye.
Tony was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to sons, Donald Bosco of Cleveland, NY and Mark (Martha) Bosco of Baldwinsville; grandchildren, Danielle (Mike) Nahorney and Mark (Christine) Bosco of Baldwinsville; great-grandchildren, Carly and Clayton Bosco. He is also survived by his siblings, Frank Bosco of Alexandria Bay, Carmella Mantione and Angie Valenti, of Syracuse.
A funeral service for Tony will be held from 11 am – 1 pm Tuesday August 3rd at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Road (corner of Buckley Rd.), North Syracuse NY. Private entombment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
Donations may be made to American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284.
