Anthony L. "Tony" Bucci's Obituary
Anthony L. “Tony” Bucci, 88, of Liverpool, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Crouse Hospital. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Luigi and Maria (Iannone) Bucci. Anthony was a US Army veteran, honorably discharged as Corporal in 1956. He retired from Western Electric after 35 years of dedicated service. Tony was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football, golf and the NY Yankees. He also enjoyed visiting with family and friends and reminiscing about the "good old days."
He was predeceased by his brother, Michael E. Bucci, and sister-in-law, Lura Bucci.
Anthony is survived by three nieces, Jean Imeson, Carol (Don) Alexander, and Patty (Tim) Caster; five great-nieces and nephews, Heather(Gary) Dziadula, Michelle (Jerry) Shelley, Robert (Nicole) Teska, Jennifer (Sig) Mazur, and Angela Roberts; five great-great-nieces and nephews, Madison Teska, Addison Shelley, Gavin Shelley, Anthony Mazur and Lucian Mazur.
The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. William Berkery, Brenda Baker, Peter Sinatra, Dr. Melinda McMinn, the ICU, Cardiac Cath, 4-North staff and Patient Care Sitters for their compassionate care of Uncle Tony and their empathy extended to us throughout this difficult time.
Calling hours will be held from 11 am – 1 pm on Friday, June 30, 2017, followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of Anthony’s life by Rev. David James at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
