Anthony "Nino" Calogero's Obituary
Anthony “Nino” Calogero, 56, of Clay, NY, passed away at home on Friday, October 10, 2014. He was born in Cittanova, Italy, the son of the late Vincenzo and Teresa (Condomitti) Calogero. Nino was a licensed electrician who owned and operated Nino’s Construction Company. He was an avid sports fan, and especially loved watching Syracuse sports. Nino was also a NY Yankees fan, Dallas Cowboys fan, and enjoyed playing quick draw. Nino was loyal to his family and everyone he knew and enjoyed spending time with his friends and neighbors.
Nino is survived by his three daughters, Michelle Calogero of PA; Teresa Calogero of CA, and Vincenza Calogero of Liverpool; his fiancé, Deanna Capparello of Johnstown, NY; his brother, Michael (Rebecca) Calogero of New Bern, NC ; two sisters, Teresa (Giuseppe) D’Agostino and Gina Calogero, both of Italy; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his former wife, Marisa Calogero.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a funeral mass in celebration of Nino’s life at 10:00 am in St. Rose of Lima Church. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Rose of Lima Church, 409 S. Main Street, North Syracuse, NY 13212.
