Anthony Campagna Sr.'s Obituary
Anthony Campagna, Sr. 88, of Syracuse passed away on Tuesday surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bassiano Italy, he was a graduate of North High School, class of 1939 where he was a 3 sport athlete and senior class president. He was an Army Air Corp Veteran serving during WWII. Anthony was employed by Joseph J. Pietrafesa Co. (Learbury Clothes) for 62 years, he was also considered by many as the "Best Dressed Man in Syracuse." He was an usher at St. Daniel's Church for many years and very active in church functions and was a former member of Beaver Meadows Golf Club for 30 years. Anthony was predeceased by his brothers, Santo, Edward and Emanuel (Bobby) Campagna. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Concetta (Connie) Ciaccio Campagna; two sons, Anthony Jr. (Barbara) Campagna and James V. (Lucille) Campagna, both of Liverpool; 4 grandchildren, Anthony III, Christina, Alyssa and Jamie Campagna; two brothers, Pat (Nancy) Campagna and John (Roslyn) Campagna, both of Syracuse; a sister, Vincenza (Vee) Falso of Florida and a sister-in-law, Loretta Campagna of Syracuse; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 9:00 am in Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home and 10:00 am in St. Daniel's Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 7 pm.
