Anthony Crupi III's Obituary
Anthony Crupi III, 84, of Eastwood, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Sarah (D’Agostino) and Anthony Crupi, Jr. Anthony was a fireman and retired from the Syracuse Fire Department Station 2 after 22 years of service. He was a member of the New York State Professional Fire Fighters Association. Anthony was also a former Golden Gloves Boxer.
He was predeceased by his wife, Frances Rose (Buda) Crupi in 2011 and his two daughters, Santa Maria Crupi and Kathleen Mary Crupi.
Anthony is survived by his daughter, Margaret A. Crupi of Syracuse; his two brothers, William (Linda) Crupi of Liverpool and Robert (Jackie) Crupi of Tennessee; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Anthony’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, November 21, 2014 at St. Matthew’s Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 9:00 to 9:45 am on Friday at St. Matthew’s Church, 229 W. Yates Street, East Syracuse.
