Anthony J. DiRenzo's Obituary
Anthony J. DiRenzo, 77, formerly of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2020 in the comfort of his own home.
He was born in Syracuse, NY on April 6, 1943, the son of Augustine T. DiRenzo and Antionette (Desiderio) DiRenzo. Anthony worked many years for the Syracuse Police Department as a 911 dispatcher and as a Cinematographer for Channel 5 and 9 News. His humor and infectious laugh will be missed by all. He was a very spiritual man and actively donated to several charities and organizations.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Carol (Good) DiRenzo of Syracuse; his son, Michael D. DiRenzo (Rachel Freeman) of North Syracuse; 5 grandchildren, Tyler DiRenzo, Alexander DiRenzo, Landon Freeman, Chase DiRenzo and Ella DiRenzo; his sister, Theresa (Peter) Crooker, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass in celebration of Anthony’s life will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at St. John the Baptist Church. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Mausoleum, DeWitt. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Monday, August 31, 2020 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
