Anthony Iozzia, Jr.'s Obituary
Anthony Iozzia, Jr., 84, of North Syracuse, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Anthony was born in Syracuse to the late Anthony and Gaetana (Cioffi) Iozzia, Sr., he was employed as a wire drawer at Crucible Steel for over 40 years. Anthony was an avid bowler, he enjoyed camping, hunting, gardening, baseball, classic cars, and most importantly, spending time with his family.
Along with his parents, Anthony was predeceased by his sister, Connie Miele.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Rose (Viscome) Iozzia; 4 children, James (Dee) Iozzia of N. Syracuse, Michael (Christine) Iozzia of Florida, Joyce (Joseph) Gentile of Liverpool, and Caroline Iozzia of Cicero; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild on the way; he is also survived by 2 brothers, Guy Iozia and Salvatore (Laura) Iozzia; a sister, Ruth (Peter) Pucino; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services in celebration of Anthony’s life will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Anthony will be laid to rest in North Syracuse Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anthony’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
