Anthony P. Lamacchia's Obituary
Anthony P. Lamacchia, 88, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Charles P. and Catherine (Aloi) Lamacchia. Anthony served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was the co-owner of Charles P. Lamacchia, Inc. and co-founder of Lamacchia Honda which was established on April 9, 1973. Anthony was a member of the New York State Automated Dealers Association and Syracuse Automobile Dealers Association. He was a former member of Lakeshore Yacht and Country Club and was an avid fisherman and boater. Anthony had a great sense of humor and will be dearly missed.
He was predeceased by his son, Michael; brother, James A. Lamacchia and three sisters, Josephine Crisafi, Santa LaValle and Margaret Lillo. Anthony is survived by his wife, Diane E. (Kohles) Lamacchia; two sons, Charles A. Lamacchia of Tampa, FL and Anthony M. Lamacchia of Syracuse; a daughter, Kathleen A. Lamacchia of Tampa, FL; three grandchildren, Julie Lamacchia of Kentucky, Jamie Brown of Syracuse and A.J. Lamacchia of Syracuse; a brother, Frank (Frances) Lamacchia of Syracuse along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 8:15 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 am in Holy Family Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
