Anthony Mariano Sr.'s Obituary
Anthony Mariano, Sr., 89, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Anthony was an avid gardener and considered it to be a “labor of love”; one that provided his family with many tomatoes and peppers throughout the years. He also worked in the grocery/ produce business, spending many years with the Nojaim and Nichol’s supermarkets. Later in life, Anthony pursued an education from the United Christian Bible Institute, becoming an ordained minister and pastor of Victory Chapel in Baldwinsville.
He is predeceased by his parents, John and Mary (Lamacchia) Mariano, three sisters and one brother.
Anthony is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 65 years, Frances “Fran” (Museums) Mariano; children, Anthony (JoAnn) Mariano, Jr., Loriann (Rik) Bardrof and Michele (Michael) Devine; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his brother, Salvatore (Rosemary) Mariano.
Calling hours will take place on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 10 A.M. - 12 P.M. immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Anthony’s life at 12 P.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd., North Syracuse, 13212.
