Anthony "Tony" Marinelli's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony “Tony” Marinelli, who left us peacefully at the age of 85. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather; his presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
Tony lived a full and vibrant life, always embracing each day with passion and a sense of adventure. He was a true lover of the outdoors—an avid fisherman, boater, and nature enthusiast who spent countless hours in pursuit of his passions especially in Henderson Harbor. Whether on the water or on land, he found joy in the simple beauty of nature.
Tony had a special love for animals, particularly his daily ritual of feeding the ducks at Panera, where he found peace and happiness in their company. His kindness, generosity, and infectious spirit were felt by everyone around him, and he formed lasting bonds with those fortunate enough to be part of his life. Tony retired from a long career with Niagara Mohawk in 1994.
He is predeceased by his loving brothers, Michael (Patricia) Marinelli and Joseph Marinelli.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Lynn (Purcell) Marinelli; his three children, Chris (Cindy) Marinelli of Cicero, Laurie Marinelli (Craig Bunch) of Cicero, and Lisa (Greg) George of Ohama, NE; Lynn’s children, Jennifer (Michelle) Densmore and Sarah (Ray) Colon; his grandchildren, Lauren (Ryan) Geiger, Courtney Marinelli, Austin George (Lindsay Nirenburg), Jared George (Bekah Birch), Lindsey Grossman (Vinnie Tedesco), Ryan Grossman, Chase and Liv Densmore; his two great-grandchildren, Brielle Nicole and Weston Christopher Geiger; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His legacy will live on through the lessons he taught about the importance of living fully and appreciating the beauty of every moment. He will forever be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and joy he brought to those around him. Rest in peace. You will always be loved and never forgotten.
