Anthony C. Nesci Sr.'s Obituary
Anthony C. (Tony) Nesci, Sr., 70, of Liverpool passed away peacefully on Wednesday at home surrounded by his loving family. A life resident, he graduated from North High School in 1959 and then served in the US Army from 1959-1961 serving a tour in Germany. He played basketball, baseball and football for North High and was named to the All-City Football Team.
Tony was employed by New Process Gear for 43 years and most recently was the Peer Counselor with the UAW Daimler Chrysler Training Center. He was Chairman of the Eagle Association of CNY and the CAP Counsel & PAC Counsel with Local 624. Active throughout the community for all his life, he was a life member of the UAW 624, Veteran of the Year 2010, former Democrat of the Year, Chairman of the Veterans Memorial at the New York State Fair, Life-Member of American Legion Post 188 and was active in volunteering and fund raising for the VA Hospital.

Tony is survived by his wife, Annette L. (Mancini) Nesci; 4 children, Anthony C. (Patricia) Nesci, II of Cicero, Jeffrey T. (JoAnn) Nesci of Liverpool, Lisa A. (Michael) Wendler of Cicero and Nicole M. (Joseph) Suich, of CT., 9 grandchildren, Anthony J. Nesci, Jared P. Nesci, Sophia L. Nesci, Jacob T. Nesci, Joelle T. Nesci, Matthew M. Pirro, Alexandria M. Pirro, Victoria R. Pirro and Lili-Marie Suich; 2 step-grandchildren, Sabrina M. Ventre and Taylor M. Wendler; 6 brothers, Joseph Nesci of Liverpool, James Nesci of FL., Lawrence (Mary Jane) Nesci of Liverpool, Michael Nesci of Syracuse, Richard Nesci of Syracuse and Patrick (Carol) Nesci of Baldwinsville; 2 sisters, Anne (James) Murty of Liverpool and Lucille (Donald) Hall of Liverpool; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 AM Monday in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY and 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 to 5 PM. Contributions may be made to the Eagle Association of CNY, 215 Ontario Place, Liverpool, NY 13088
