Anthony V. Nuzzo "Tony Nuzzo"'s Obituary
Anthony V. Nuzzo “Tony Nuzzo”, 73, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, which was his favorite time of the year with his family. Anthony was born in Syracuse on September 1, 1947, son of the late Anthony and Angeline (DiBello) Nuzzo and his legacy began on the Northside. He was a graduate of Henninger High School and served honorably in the US Army from 1966-1972. Following this time period he married the love of his life, Patricia E. Donovan. Anthony grew up on Division St. where he spent most of his time at his father’s side at Anthony’s (Oscar Nuzzo) Barber Shop. Anthony was always surrounded by a wealth of friends and family whom everyone loved and wanted to be around. He coached and mentored numerous children and was a role model to many He worked at the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office from 1986-2010. Anthony was a parishioner and was married at Our Lady of Pompei / St. Peter’s Church. He was an avid antique car lover and collector, and enjoyed vacationing in Ocean City, Maryland with his family. First and foremost, his passion was for his family.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia E. (Donovan) Nuzzo; his sons, Anthony T. (Tammi) Nuzzo and Aaron T. (Shannon) Nuzzo; grandchildren, Angela, Aaron and Jack.
