Anthony J. Pellegrino's Obituary
Anthony J. Pellegrino of Liverpool, NY passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on May 14, 2025, with his wife Caroline of 57 years by his side. He was born in Calabria, Italy, son of the late Dominick and Angela (Catroneo) Pellegrino. Anthony was employed with Crouse Hinds for many years and then the Syracuse City School District. He enjoyed helping his family, friends and neighbors as he always had a part, a screw or a tool in his garage that would get the job done. When you walked in the house, you would find him at the kitchen counter eating his salad and a chunk of Italian bread in front of the TV watching Fox News. Another thing he enjoyed was having a good cigar on his front porch while sitting in his rocking chair and working outdoors in the front yard doing his landscaping. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He leaves behind his wife, Caroline (Klug), and was a father of three daughters, Theresa (Stephen) Coats, Lisa (Robert) Battaglia and was predeceased by his daughter, Christine Pellegrino; five grandchildren, Kimberly (William) Coats-McLaughlin, Kathleen (Michael) Matthews, Megan (Joey) Coats, Alyssa Battaglia and Lauren Battaglia; one great-grandson, Anthony and another great-grandson on the way; one niece, Anne (Dan) Rankin and one nephew, Joseph Pellegrino, along with two great nieces and a great nephew.
In addition to his parents and daughter, he is predeceased by two brothers, a sister and his niece Maria.
Anthony is loved and missed by all.
