Anthony N. Proietta's Obituary
Anthony Proietta, 92, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, November 2, 2015. He was born in Syracuse on November 24, 1922. Anthony was a World War II combat veteran, serving with the 45th Infantry Division/645th Tank Destroyer Battalion. Anthony was chosen as a Flag Barer for the 50th Anniversary of the Invasion of Anzio and recently joined other WWII veterans on an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. http://www.syracuse.com/kirst/index.ssf/2014/04/honor_flight_and_world_war_ii_and_syracuse.html Anthony retired from Crucible Steel after 42 years.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Adriana (Bilardi) Proietta; two daughters, Jo Ann Proietta-St. Amour and Marisa Proietta-Milbrand (James); his son, Anthony Jr. (Charlene); six grandchildren, Christian and Amanda St. Amour, James and Aidan Milbrand and Ashleigh and Anthony C., one great-grandchild, Braxton.
A private funeral was held on Friday, November 6, 2015. THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME handled funeral arrangements.
