Anthony L. Romano's Obituary
Anthony L. Romano, 89, of Liverpool, passed away on Thursday at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse and served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, John Venditti Post, Italian American War Veterans and a former member of the Italian American Athletic Club. Anthony was the founder, owner and operator of New York State Supply on North Salina Street. He was predeceased by his grandson, Nathan Romano. Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn M. (Austin) Romano; 8 children, Vincent (Carol) Romano of Florida., Daniel (Pat) Romano of Maryland, Anthony (Sherry) Romano of Florida, Cheri Hill of Florida, Al (Patti) Romano of Solvay, Jody Romano of Solvay, Bruce Romano of Florida and Jennifer (John) Loftis of Florida; step-daughter, Adrian (David) Artini of Liverpool; 24 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary (John) Basile and Eleanor (Frank) Romano, both of Syracuse. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 10:30 AM in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 7 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088.
