Anthony J. Ross, Sr.'s Obituary
Anthony J. Ross, Sr., 89, of Liverpool, NY, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, NY, son of the late James and Margaret (Giannuzzi) Ross. Anthony was the co-founder and president of James Ross & Son Contractors in Syracuse. He enjoyed grilling, golfing, card games, and most of all, spending time with family and friends.
Besides his parents, he is also predeceased by his wife, Anna (Esce) Ross in 2005.
Anthony is survived by three sons, James A. Ross, Michael (Ilona) Ross and Anthony J. Ross, Jr.; his grandson, James E. (Kristen) Ross; his great-granddaughter, Emily Sophia Ross; one sister, Rose Ann Werner; his aunt, Mary Maurino, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Anthony’s life at 10:30 am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
