Antoinette T. (Annesi) Milazzo's Obituary
Antoinette (Annesi) Milazzo, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side on October 19, 2019 at the age of 92. Antoinette was born on June 10, 1927 in Syracuse to Vito and Jenny Annesi. She was married to her husband Chuck Milazzo for 65 years until his death in 2017. Antoinette worked as a lunch aide and cook in the Syracuse City School District before retiring after 25 years. A life-long resident of Syracuse, Antoinette was devoted to her family and home. She worked in her house until just weeks before her death, often making pizza and cookies for family events and for her neighbors. Antoinette especially loved spending time with her late husband, sisters, sons, and grandchildren. Her family will miss her vibrant nature and her example of living a fulfilling and meaningful life.
She is predeceased by her husband; her parents; three brothers, Leonard, Joseph, and John, and two sisters, Mary and Fran. Antoinette is survived by two sons, Chuck (Sue) Milazzo and David (Bobbi) Milazzo; nine grandchildren, Melanie (Brian Jackson), Neil (Jessica), Amanda, Angela (Scott) Getty, Samantha Shehadi, David (Tanya), Laure (Don) Boody, and Jason (Katie) Uhlig; six great-grandchildren, Jack, Mack, Oliver, Gemma, Grace, and Ryan; three sisters, Anne Rafka, Rose (Don) Husted, and Carol (Jerry) Wallace, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank her granddaughter, Angela Getty, for her expert care of and devotion to Antoinette in her final days.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Antoinette’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Burial will follow at Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
