Antoinette (More) Mallaro's Obituary
Antoinette M. (More) Mallaro, 89, lifelong resident of Syracuse, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019 at the Bishop Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse to the late John and Angie More and attended North High School, where she met her husband Luke Mallaro. Antoinette was an avid SU basketball fan but was happiest when she was spending time with her family and good friends.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Luke Mallaro; a sister, Theresa More; sister-in-law, Catherine More; and a very close aunt, Caroline Simiele.
Antoinette is survived by her loving daughter, Lynn Mallaro (Kaleen Feely); a sister, Jean (Floyd) Pallone; a brother, Jack More; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and in-laws.
A calling hour will take place from 11:45 am – 12:45 pm on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in Our Lady of Pompei/ St. Peter Church, immediately followed by funeral mass in celebration of Antoinette’s life at 1:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
The family wished to acknowledge a very special niece, Jodie Pallone, for her loving care, and the staff of 3 North at the Bishop Nursing Home for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Antoinette’s name may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North St., Liverpool, NY 13088.
