Antoinette M. (Fiumara) Pellizzeri's Obituary
Antoinette M. “Toni” (Fiumara) Pellizzeri, 89, passed away at her residence in Harlem, Georgia. She was born in Syracuse and moved to Georgia in 1986 after retiring from P&C Food Market. She was a member of the UFCW Local One. She was an avid bowler and coached a Special Olympic bowling team with her husband. She volunteered her time at the VA hospital and Salvation Army in Augusta, Georgia. She loved to cook, crochet and garden, In addition to spending time with family and friends.
Antoinette was preceded in death by her parents, Pietro and Chiana (Turco) Fiumara; her husband, James F. Pellizzeri, Sr., her son, Louis A. Pellizzeri; brothers, Louis and Joseph; sisters, Theresa, Josephine, Mary, Rose, Carmella and Jennie (twin).
Antoinette is survived by her sons; James F. Pellizzeri, Jr. of Georgia and Anthony M. (Kathy) Pellizzeri of California; her daughter, Carol A. Wolfe of Georgia; sister, Lucy Copani of Syracuse; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and her lifelong friend, Lois Unz.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd, (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, August 14, 2017 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
