Antoinette (DiDomenico) Ruscitto's Obituary
Antoinette (DiDomenico) Ruscitto, 90, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 15, 2019. As the matriarch, she was deeply devoted to family. Ann was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Santo and Leonetta (Terranova) DiDomenico. Antoinette was the first in a family of 13 to graduate from High School. After graduating from North High School in 1947, she began working at NYS Fire Ins., then went on to work at Continental Can, GE, BG Sulzle and Northern Pines Golf Course. It was at Continental Can that she met the love of her life and was married to for 66 years, Joseph Ruscitto. Antoinette was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Cicero and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Antoinette’s many hobbies and interests included ceramics, snow skiing, golfing, bowling, baking and quilting.
She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph N. Ruscitto in 2015.
Antoinette is survived by five children, Frank (Diane) Ruscitto, Daniel (Kathryn) Ruscitto, Joseph (Gina) Ruscitto, Deborah (Clifford) Kelley, and Christina (Kenneth) Walsleben; her grandchildren, Danielle (Jeffrey) Ruscitto, Kristen (Alicia) Ruscitto-Donato, Elizabeth Ruscitto, Renee (Robert) Ruscitto, Anthony Ruscitto, Seargent USMC, Jesse LaBarre, Cassandra LaBarre; great-grandchildren, Dylan Hess, Tyler Harris, Marvin Ruscitto-Donato, and Janae Ruscitto-Donato; step-grandchildren; Jeremy (Abby) Kelley, Holly Kelley, Tabetha (Scott) Carns, Ted Thompson and Paige (Paul) Lundstrom; two sisters, Patricia (Bill) Korecky and Rosemari Ciliberto; her half-brother, Eugene (Tammy) DiDomenico; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Bill; brother-in-law, Alfred Emmi, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Antoinette’s family would like to thank the staff at Pace CNY for providing comfort and care for the past 4 years.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 am on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Antoinette’s life at 9:30 am in Sacred Heart Church of Cicero. Burial will take place in North Syracuse Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, October 18, 2019 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
