Antoinette "Toni" (Egnoto) Sabatino's Obituary
Antoinette “Toni” (Egnoto) Sabatino, 76, passed away peacefully at the Bishop Nursing Home on Thursday, May 23, 2019 after a prolonged illness caused by a stroke. Toni was a lifelong resident of Syracuse, a graduate of North High School and communicant of Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren by her backyard pool and loved traveling with her beloved late husband “Jerry” until his untimely death in 1995. Before suffering her illness,
Toni worked at Webster School and Shining Stars Daycare Center.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gerard A. Sabatino and parents, Sam and Frances Egnoto.
Toni is survived by her daughter, Kim Marie Leonardo; son, Michael Sabatino; grandchildren, Robert, Nicholas, Gerard, Jaylianna, Samantha and Ethan; her loving twin sister, Nicki (Pete) Penizotto; brothers, Orry (Kathy) Egnoto and Frank (Diane) Egnoto, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Toni’s life at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
