Antonetta C. "Toni" (Modafferi) Goss' Obituary
Antonetta C. "Toni" (Modafferi) Goss, 88, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at her home. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Modafferi. Antonetta attended Assumption High School, and retired from Nationwide Insurance in 1987. She also cooked for St. Daniel's Rectory for many years. Antonetta was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who loved to bake, cook and critique restaurants, but most of all, loved to laugh.
She was predeceased by her husband, Mason Goss in 1966, and her brother Dominick Modafferi in 1977. Antonetta is survived by her two sons, Michael (Jessa) Goss of Syracuse and Christopher (Cynthia) Goss of California; a granddaughter, Kimberly (Jeffrey) Berger of Syracuse; two sisters, Mary and Angela Modafferi of Syracuse.
Family and friends may call from 10 to 11:45 am on Monday at St. Daniel's Church, 3004 Court Street, Syracuse with a funeral Mass in celebration of Antonetta's life to follow at 12:10 pm. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
