Antonino "Tony" Patane's Obituary
Antonino “Tony” Patane, 84, of Brewerton, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family on September 24, 2025. Born in Riposto, Sicily, he was the son of the late Sebastiano and Luisa (LaRocca) Patane. On June 10, 1956, his sixteenth birthday, he immigrated to the United States with his family.
Tony worked at Julius Resnick Pocket Book Factory, Syracuse China, and JGA Construction Company before retiring from General Motors in Syracuse. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Rosaria (Sarina) Campolo.
Surviving is his loving wife of 62 years, Anna (Amodio) Patane; four sons, Sebastian “Ben” (Phyllis), Frank, Anthony, and John Patane; two grandchildren, Benjamin (Kelley) and Ethan Patane; two great-grandchildren, Maxwell and Sophia Patane; and his brother, Biagio (Rosa) Patane, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a funeral Mass in celebration of Antonino’s life at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, NY. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
