Antonio P. DeStefano's Obituary
Antonio P. DeStefano, 85, of Syracuse, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Italy and resided in the Syracuse area since 1955. Antonio was a machine operator with O.M. Edwards for 25 years, retiring in 1987. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Elena (Pulice) DeStefano; 4 daughters, Lucy (Nicholas) Scalisi of Liverpool, Theresa (Michael) Schiavone of Syracuse, Patricia (John) Farruggio of North Syracuse and Linda (Steven) DeStefano of Liverpool; 13 grandchildren, Nicole, Andrew, Christina and Cara Scalisi; Michael, Brian and Sara Schiavone; John, Christopher and Nicholas Farruggio; Jeffrey, Michael and Marissa DeStefano; brother, Francesco DeStefano of Italy; 2 sisters, Emilia Greco of Italy and Assunta (Joseph) Ruffolo of Syracuse; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 to 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kingdom Outpost Church, 4986 Surrey Lane, Liverpool, NY 13088.
