Athanasios Georgiadis' Obituary
Athanasios Georgiadis, 98, of Syracuse, passed away Friday at James Square. He was born in Cappodocia, Asia Minor. Athanasios moved to Greece in 1922 and lived there until 1981 when he moved to the United States.
He was predeceased by his wife of 72 years, Chrisoula.
Athanasios is survived by his four children, Savvas, Yiorgos, Magdalini and Menelaos; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 13, 2015 at St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church followed by burial at Oakwood Cemetery, Syracuse. Family and friends may call from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
