August Frateschi's Obituary
August Frateschi, 91, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Saturday at The Bishop Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Thomas and Mary (Rufo) Frateschi. August was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was employed as a mail carrier with the US Post Office for many years before retiring. August was a good and honest man without any duplicity. He was a good and faithful husband; he loved the Lord and placed others before himself. His love for music was shared with his family and those around him.
August was predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years, Dina (Brozzi) Frateschi in 2017
August is survived by his daughters, Aleta (Nicholas) Ametrano and Dorene (Michael) Rufo; sons, Mark Frateschi (Donna) and Timothy (Cynthia) Frateschi; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the THOMAS J. PIRRO, JR. FUNERAL HOME 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley) N. Syracuse. Private entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
