Barbara (Goebell) Arseneau's Obituary
Barbara (Goebell) Arseneau, 78, of Syracuse, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, January 22, 2015. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Josephine Grace (Eastman) and William Goebell. Barbara retired from National Grange Insurance Company.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Arseneau and her brother, William Goebell.
Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Cindy (Marty) Currier of Mexico, NY and Lori (Steve) Aiello of Fayetteville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step-sons, Robert (Nancy) Arseneau, Edward Arseneau, Dr. Bernard (Jeanne) Arseneau and Michael Arseneau; two step-grandchildren; her sister, Betty Marquisee, along with several nieces and nephews.
Barbara family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at Menorah Park for their compassion and kindness.
To honor Barbara’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service in celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Fayetteville. She will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date.
