Barbara Ann (DeCoursey) Rosecrans' Obituary
Barbara Ann (DeCoursey) Rosecrans, 89, of Liverpool, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Barb was born in Syracuse on January 1, 1935, to the late Christopher and Marion (Davidson) DeCoursey and graduated from Eastwood High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Rosecrans in 1957 and together they enjoyed 50 wonderful years. Barb worked as a switchboard operator for Smith-Corona and later in life she worked at Chappel’s Department Store. Her beautiful smile brought joy to all, and she had a funny disposition that was a treat to be around. Barb was a devoted, loving mother and grandmother and she will always be our sunshine.
She is predeceased by her husband, Ronald in 2009, her son, Michael in 2014, her sister, Gert, and her brothers, Jack, Charlie, Bob, and Skip.
Barb is survived by her three daughters, Michelle (Robert) Audley, Laurie (Shawn) Horton, and Lynda (John) White; her grandchildren, Alecia (Ian), Marisa (Pat), Bobby (Danielle), Steven, John, Jamie (Ryan), Mark, Mathew (Steph), Brandon, McKenzie, Vicki (Dustin), Shawn, and Lindsay; her 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, Jimmy (Nancy) DeCoursey; daughter-in-law, Mari Rosecrans; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In keeping with Barb’s wishes, funeral services will be private.
