Barbara (Eggenstein) Eckert's Obituary
Barbara (Eggenstein) Eckert, 55, of Liverpool, NY passed away unexpectedly on October 28, 2023. She was born and grew up in Worms, Germany where she met and married her loving husband of 29 years, William Eckert. They moved to the United States in 1995 where they raised two sons, Alexander and Lukas.
As a teenager she rode horses and over the years her love of horses never wavered.
She enjoyed traveling to Paris, Nice, the North Sea, Washington DC, Grand Canyon, Chincoteague Island and her home country of Germany. Her greatest joy was her loving husband and children, Alexander and Lukas.
Barbara is survived by her husband, two sons, parents, Wilhelm and Marie Magdalene Eggenstein of Friedrichstadt, Germany; brother, Wolfgang (Christine) Eggenstein of Friedrichstadt, Germany; sister, Susanne (Markus) Getrost of Bürstadt, Germany, and two nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 4:00 – 5:00 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Barbara’s life at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
