Barbara A. Harrington's Obituary
Barbara A. Harrington, 73, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Upstate University Hospital. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late William F. and Arlene (Widrick) Harrington. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and traveling with her L’Arche family including a trip to Spain and New York City for St. Patrick’s Day.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her two brothers-in-law, Anthony Cicoria and Raymond Palumbo.
Barbara is survived by her six siblings, Catherine Cicoria of Stuart, FL., Frances (Stanley) Backus of Baldwinsville, Patrick (Kathy) Harrington of Syracuse, William “Billy” (Deborah) Harrington of Syracuse, Christine Palumbo of Syracuse and Joseph (Lisa) Harrington of Liverpool; several nieces and nephews.
Barbara’s family would like to thank her “Second Family”, all the staff and members of the L’Arche Community for their loving care over the past 20 years.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at All Saints Church, Syracuse. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 8:00 to 9:00 am on Tuesday at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
