Barbara T. Zippi's Obituary
Barbara T. (Thatcher) Zippi, 86, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2019, surrounded by her loved ones at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born to the late Jesse and Della (Stone) Thatcher. Barbara retired from Kaman Bearing after many years and was a member of the accounts payable department. She was a long-time member of North Syracuse Baptist Church and served as a deaconess. Barbara enjoyed reading, sports especially SU, and spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 2017; a grandson, David Zippi; and 2 brothers, Keith and David Thatcher.
Barbara is survived by her children, Christine Zippi, Gordon Zippi, Lawrence (Mary Ann) Zippi, Joseph (Lisa) Zippi, and Maria (Dan) Fumano; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will take place on August 17, 2019 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Barbara’s life at 2:00 pm at the Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
