Benjamin L. "Ben" Laquidari's Obituary
Benjamin L. “Ben” Laquidari, 78, of Syracuse, passed away at Crouse Hospital on Thursday, May 7, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Frank and Pearl (Butera) Laquidari. Ben was a Designer Draftsman with General Electric for 27 years and retired in 1992 from Lockheed Martin. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the NY Yankees and SU sports. He was also a member of the Tuesday Breakfast Club. Ben loved spending time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Ben is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Irene M. (Pisegna) Laquidari; his two beloved daughters, Karen M. (Henry) Smith of Syracuse and Kristine A. (William) Waterbury of Brewerton; his three cherished grandchildren, Conor, Nicholas and Olivia; his brother, Vincent (Janet) Laquidari of Euclid, OH, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Benjamin’s life at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Family and friends may call from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
