Benny "Biagio" LaRocca's Obituary
Benny “Biagio” LaRocca, 79, of Liverpool, passed away April 1, 2019 at Upstate University Hospital. He was born in Piedimonte Etneo Catania Sicily, Italy, son of the late Ignazio and Catherina (Raiti) LaRocca. Benny formerly worked for Town and Country Linoleum and Carpet as an Installer. He enjoyed working in his yard, building things, traveling and spending time with his family.
He is predeceased by his son, Anthony LaRocca.
Benny is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Katherine (Panarites) LaRocca; three sons, Nate (Lori Cross) LaRocca of N. Syracuse, Benny G. (Terri) LaRocca of Liverpool and Richard LaRocca of Florida; daughter-in-law, Chris LaRocca; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Carmella Ragonese, Angie Piraino and Geraldine LaRocca; his brother, Leonard LaRocca, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Benny’s life will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, April 5, 2019 at St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital.
