Bernadine M. (Keehfus) Hebert's Obituary
Bernadine Marion (Keehfus) Hebert, 89, passed away on Thursday with her sons by her side at James Square Nursing Home. The last surviving child of Bertha & Fred Keehfus, "Bernie" lived her life in Syracuse and Lafayette. With a background in retail, she co-owned Lafayette Liquors with her husband until retirement.
She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Bob in October 2012; brothers, Lincoln, Emmet, Frederick and sisters, Winifred King, Evelyn Stafford, Bertha Murphy and her twin, Geraldine Keehfus. Bernie is survived by her two sons, Dennis (Judi) Hebert and Calvin (Linda) Hebert, both of Liverpool; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Tony) Spagnola, Adam Hebert, Carissa Hebert, all of Liverpool and Christopher (Margaret Dean) Hebert of Tennessee and great-grandsons, Elliot Hebert and Ryan Spagnola.
A funeral service by Rev. James Mathews will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in the Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
