Bernice L. (Coir) Klaisle's Obituary
Bernice L. (Coir) Klaisle, 97, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024 at The Cottages. She was born in Syracuse on April 22, 1927 to Walter and Mildred Coir and was a lifetime resident of North Syracuse.
Her first job was as an elevator operator at Edwards Dept. Store in downtown Syracuse. She met and married her husband, Donald Klaisle, they shared 58 years together, and raised 6 children. She loved taking trips with her husband to Hawaii and Florida. Bernice had a great passion for Hershey Almond Chocolate Bars, she never went a day without one. We, as a family, believe it helped with her longevity. She also was a lifetime member of Andrews Memorial Methodist Church and Eastern Stars.
She is predeceased by her husband, Donald Klaisle in 2006, and siblings, Ronald, Betty, Leslie, and Sarah.
Bernice is survived by her sons, Terry, John (Kim) and Jim (Chris); daughters, Nancy, Pam (Steve), and Susan; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the staff at The Cottages for all the support and care they gave to our Mom.
