Betty V. (Billings) Clovis' Obituary
Betty V. Clovis, 49 – Entered eternal rest on February 13, 2018. She will be greatly missed by all, and is predeceased by her father, James Billings, and is survived by her loving husband Victor after 21 years of marriage; her children, Vincent, Emmanuel and Cosgrove; her mother, Jeanette Billings; siblings, Nancy, Robert, Janice, James, Mary, Barbara and Elizabeth, as well as several nieces and nephews.
For a substantial portion of her adult life, Betty enjoyed working with the disabled and managed several homes in this endeavor. Starting in 2010 and to this, the date of her departure, Betty continued her passion of working within the healing profession as a productive member of St. Joseph’s Hospital Physical Therapy team. Betty spoke highly of her associates throughout the entire hospital and found immense pleasure in contributing to the healing treatment and processes of many of those whom she came in contact with. In addition, Betty’s other passion was to selflessly contribute to our Syracuse community. To this end, Betty and her entire family have volunteered for many years and countless hours at the Camillus Erie Canal, the WGHS Sports Boosters for various nonprofit activities and organizations in an around the Syracuse communities, as well as growing and placing flowers at various clinics and the Nursing Home’s Dining Room of the Syracuse VAMC to help cheer up our aging, ailing and disabled American heroes.
Betty was loved by many and will be sorely missed by all whose lives she has indelibly and positive impacted. Betty, we your family, friends, former patients and clients thank you. We will miss you.
Rest in Peace.
