Betty J. (Figueiredo) Koziol's Obituary
Betty J. (Figueiredo) Koziol, 88, formerly of East Syracuse and Solvay, NY, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 in Canandaigua, NY. Betty was born in Syracuse and her work career included L.C. Smith Co., General Electric, and she retired from the Syracuse School District. Betty loved entertaining friends and family, especially at the camp she and her husband built by Lake Ontario. Her fun loving nature was always an inspiration to everyone and she was always willing to help anyone in need.
She was predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Leona (Roseman) Figueiredo; her husband of 40 years, Chester W. Koziol; her brother, Albert A. Figueiredo, and brother-in-law, Gerald Cramer.
Betty is survived by her sister, Karen Cramer of E. Syracuse; her brother, Anthony (Sheryl) Figueiredo of Springwater, NY; her niece, Tammy Cramer and nephews, Jeffrey (Jeannine ) Cramer, David Cramer, Corey (Noelle) Figueiredo, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friend, Jean Avery of Solvay.
Friends and family gathered at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME with calling hours followed by a Funeral Service with interment at Belle Isle Cemetery, Lakeland, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty’s name to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 435 East Henrietta Rd., Rochester, N.Y. 14620.
