Betty Lou (Raymond) Abel's Obituary
Betty Lou (Raymond) Abel, 79, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Malta House in North Syracuse. She was born in Utica, NY, daughter of Anthony and Josephine (Potenza) Raymond and will be laid to rest with them. Betty moved to Syracuse as a young woman to pursue her medical career as an x-ray technician for more than 25 years. She also wanted to be near her sister, Jeanne Inserra and her husband Frank, whom she was very close to.
She is predeceased by her adored parents, Anthony and Josephine and her beloved sister, Jeanne and brother-in-law, Frank.
Betty Lou is survived by her nephews, Steven (Cindy) Inserra of Liverpool, Frank (Linda) Inserra of Colorado; great-nephew and nieces, Nicolette Inserra, Raz (Liz) Inserra, and Jennifer (Kashi) Lee.

A Funeral Mass in celebration of Betty Lou’s life will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at St. Margaret’s Church, Mattydale. Private burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Utica.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty’s name may be made to PACE CNY c/o the Loretto Foundation, 700 East Brighton Ave, Syracuse, NY 13205.
