Betty J. (Maselli) Norris' Obituary
Betty J. (Maselli) Norris, 92, of Rochester and formerly Baldwinsville and Red Creek, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 12, 2020. She was born in Syracuse to the late John and Rose (Pistilli) Maselli and attended Grant Jr. and North High Schools. Betty worked as a secretary for many years at Lamson Corporation, where she met her husband, Bob. Betty loved to bowl; she bowled with the Lamson Ladies Team from work and joined a bowling league in Rochester. She and her husband Bob were very active in the Christmas Tree Farmers Association of New York (CTFANY) and she helped to run Norris Family Christmas Trees in Red Creek.
In addition to her parents, Betty is predeceased by her husband, Robert D. (Bob) Norris in 2011 and her sister, Irene Lotito in 2016.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Sean) Buckley, of Penfield, NY; two grandchildren, Erin Buckley, of Pittsburgh, PA and Ryan Buckley, of Penfield; a brother, John Maselli, of Syracuse; a sister, Rosemarie Close, of Liverpool; along with several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 10 – 11:30 am followed by funeral service in celebration of Betty’s life at 11:30 am at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. Burial will follow in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 1 p.m.
