Betty Passafiume's Obituary
Betty (Haynes) Passafiume, 83, of East Syracuse, passed away Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Charles and Nettie (Doehner) Haynes. Betty attended Eastwood High School. She was a bookkeeper with Dairylea Cooperative, Inc. for over 30 years, retiring in 1983. Betty was an avid bowler and also enjoyed camping and traveling while spending her winters in Florida. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Passafiume in 2005; seven brothers and two sisters. Betty is survived by her son, Robert (Marilyn) Passafiume of North Syracuse and her daughter, Jeanne Indivero of East Syracuse; four grandchildren, Michelle (Daniel) Driscoll of Liverpool, Robert Passafiume II of Syracuse, Kelly Passafiume of Mattydale and Shane (Jennifer) Indivero of North Syracuse; ten great-grandchildren, a brother, Raymond (Peggy) Haynes of Bridgeport; a sister, Shirley (Lyman) Ashworth of East Syracuse; sisters-in-law, Betty Haynes Ziegler of Pulaski and Sarah Samora of Syracuse along with many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service in celebration of Betty's life will be held on Friday at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
