Beverly Carey's Obituary
Beverly Carey, 79, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Staten Island, NY to the late Henry L. Carey, Sr. and Johanna Joan M. (Torkilson) Carey. Beverly was an administrative assistant and dedicated employee with KeyBank for over 25 years. She enjoyed roller-skating, sewing skating outfits and quilts, and making counted cross stitching art work. Above all, she loved spending time with family and friends, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Beverly is predeceased by her parents as well as her brother, Henry “Lenny” Carey, Jr.
Beverly is survived by her daughters, Terri (Paul) Silsby, Lynda (Werner) Graf and Wendi Hotchkiss-Zufelt; five grandchildren; Justin (Kim), Jeremy (Marcy), Nicole, Brandan Henry and Elise Johanna; eight great-grandchildren; Keri, Lily, Ben, Dezmond, Raven, Damian, Eliot and Sofia.
Due to the fact that Beverly has donated her remains for scientific research a celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
Beverly's celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Sawmill Creek Shelter of Onondaga Lake Park in Liverpool, NY from 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm. We hope everyone will come and share stories and memories of our mom.
